What comes to mind when you first think about a sun room?

It might be a picture of you relaxing on a Saturday afternoon reading a nice book, or spending time with family barbecue, or watching the sunset from this enclosed space.

And what feeling does that bring to you?

Hopefully a feeling of relaxation and joy.

That’s why we love building sunrooms for our clients. It’s more than a home improvement project, it adds character to the home and somewhere you may spend a good deal of time. If not a large quantity of time, it will at least have meaningful times for the times you do spend there.

If you have children, they will get to enjoy this amazing space.

All of our work is unique and not just cookie cutter. Although we don’t feel the need to reinvent the wheel when it comes to architecture and sunroom layouts, we add our touch to it and work with you on the perfect solarium addition to your home. From the size, design, and mood, we got you every step of the process.

A clear understanding of the ins and outs of sunrooms enables us to overcome any challenges you may face in turning your sunroom dream into reality.  Our builds will ensure you reach your objectives of bringing relaxation and light where you need it.

We believe that a contemporary sunroom will add immeasurable value to your home. The approach we adopt enables us to work with your vision while giving them a professional contractors touch.

The materials we use take into account your needs in your specific home. They include lumber, joists, foundations, and more. The electrical finishes and plumbing allow for a maximum level of satisfaction with the end result.  All this while meeting standard building codes on a residential or commercial property.

There is also an option of pre-fabricated sunroom kits which are less costly. They also do not have too many building code restrictions and can be erected in a do-it-yourself way. Sometimes, all that is needed is a concrete patio slab or sturdy ground-level deck to act as its foundation.

The building process allows us to transition without any delays or additional stress to the customer. The process follows a specific timeframe in which the project is executed. There is constant back and forth feedback to ensure you stay in the loop of your project.

All this is carried out at a cost that takes into account your specific needs and budget. The wide array of options to choose from enables anyone to make the choice that is most appropriate to their unique scenario. Fill out our contact form today and we will get a quote over to you!

SUNROOMS TYPES & EXAMPLES

i.                    Sunroom Bump-out Extension

This modest expansion is an addition to a room that is not the room itself. The bump-out does not qualify as a full addition. It can add immense resale value to any home when intricately designed.

The multiple glass openings, sometimes encompassing the entire room and walls entirely, allow for maximum light entry. Merging the idea of a bump-out with a sunroom grants you the power to create a relaxing surrounding.

This merger usually excludes sleeping quarters, a kitchen, or a bathroom. The insulated wall frames put emphasis on far more windows to achieve the desired result.

The beauty of this choice is that it can be made to blend in well with the overall house design. This creates quite an impression to anyone who lays eyes on it while focusing on sunlight entry too, for householders.

ii.                  Pre-fabricated Sunroom

Most homeowners make use of the widely available choice that is the pre-fabricated sunroom. Since it is built offsite, its design is usually different from the overall house design.

That said, it is also quite easy to find one that suits your preference or existing house design. Many designs are created in terms of style, shape, and size, giving homeowners the widest pool from which to choose.

This creates a sense of uniqueness in its own right. There is a stark difference between pre-fabricated sunrooms and those made of wood. The aluminum, tempered glass, and foam insulation that dominate the former, make for an exclusive rendition.

The key take-home here is that this sunroom retains the same look on the outside as it is on the inside. The vertical glass very much stops the possibility of continuing the house’s siding into the sunroom.

iii.                A Sunroom Conservatory

Lovers of everything revolving around the beauty of gardens and flowers have a perfect answer in the sunroom conservatory. The walls and roof are made of glass to give it a near greenhouse make.

The flooring is even more delightful as there is a choice of porcelain, ceramic tile, natural stone, and concrete to choose from. These make for ease in cleaning after watering the plants and flowers.

If any furniture is to be incorporated, outdoor furniture is the choice since the internal humidity destroys fabric-covered furniture. This furniture needs to be minimal though, as is the trend.

Any dedicated gardener will be able to enjoy their days out in the sun, doing what they love best.  All amidst important breaks. Anyone who has the intention to resale needs to know that the value will be lower as they are not habitable.

iv.                 The Back Porch Sunroom

This sunroom makes use of a former back porch area. The main differentiating feature from other sunrooms is their location. In some cases, this sunroom even retains the building features of the back porch.

The floor, ceiling, walls, and roof remain the same. When the open and screened windows are custom replaced with glass, the result is our sunroom.

  • Solariums

A solarium is also slightly different than a sunroom. One key difference is that solariums are solely made out of glass, including the roof and walls. Go to our FAQ page to learn more advantages and disadvantages of a solarium vs. sunroom!

  • Curved Glass Sunrooms

A curved glass sunroom is exactly that - the walls are curved and the ceiling is flat. This is an energy efficient, modern option. There is no right or wrong when it comes to aesthetics, it really is your choice. If you are unsure of what type you may like, we will give you input from our design eyes based on the rest of your home!

  • Conservatories

Although conservatories and sunrooms have some overlap - they are two different things. A conservatory is a glass or polycarbonate roof, which is for the functional purpose of allowing more light and warmth through. You may opt to have this ceiling installed in an already existing room in your home, rather than build an addition (sunroom).

  • Hampton Room

A Hampton's style sunroom mimics the aesthetic of a vacation home in the Hampton area itself! A beautiful, Euro style that is timeless. A caved in ceiling design with panel windows all around, this sunroom choice is one worthy of many photos taken!
